"Do I have to participate on the front lines in time of disaster?" 

 

ANSWER:

 

No.  The purpose of the CERT program is to ensure individuals have life-saving information for themselves, 

        their families, and neighbors (optional).  By providing this assistance, a CERT trained person is a vital

        part of the team as a whole. 

 

        For those who wish to be a more active part of the team, whether medical or in search and rescue,

        there are ongoing activities and training exercises.
